Women of Destiny

As the Women of Destiny our mission is to meet the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of women at Destiny World Church Atlanta and within our community. This ministry is designed to encourage women to grow in their faith in Christ, to develop and strengthen intimate friendships with other women, and to provide opportunities to serve and reach our community for Christ.

Past events/projects include....

United Way Shoebox Project

Each year, individuals and companies throughout the metro area donate shoeboxes filled with toiletries to the United Way Shoebox Project to be given to homeless women and children. This will be Destiny Atlanta's 4th year participating in this project. Help us break last year's record of 100 shoeboxes by donating new, unopened toiletries and shoeboxes. Donations will be accepted through May 1st and can be given to Sabrina Gilbert, Natasha Freeman, or JoAnne Stewart.

Dress For Success

The Women of Destiny are collecting gently worn work/business attire for Dress For Success, a nationwide non-profit organization whos mission is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

On her initial visit a woman receives a suit appropriate for the industry in which she is interviewing and, if available, accessories. After a woman finds a job she returns to Dress for Success for additional clothing that can be mixed and matched to make several outfits, providing her with the foundation for a professional wardrobe.

The Colored Museum

The Women of Destiny head to the theatre for an afternoon of lunching, laughing, and loving!
